November 18, 2024
Case IQ cares about all our customers and is committed to providing an application that is as accessible as possible to everyone. We are committed to complying with the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2, up to level AA (WCAP-2.2 AA) to meet or exceed the standards of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (in the U.S.), the Accessible Canada Act and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (in Canada).
We continually work to ensure accessibility in our design and development processes. To evaluate and enhance accessibility we use various tools and checklists, including but not limited to:
- Easy Checks – A First Review of Web Accessibility to ensure Mobile Accessibility Guidelines 2.0
- Screen reader testing with Firefox AInspector Sidebar, Wave - Web Accessibility Evaluation (Mac) and NVDA (Windows)
- axe DevTools - Web Accessibility Testing that evaluates accessibility on pages
- Maintaining colour contrast ratios for text
- Providing keyboard navigation
- Providing skip to content links at the top of the page
- Using ARIA attributes so the state, properties and values of a component can be read and set by assistive technology
All users have access to the Case IQ Accessible theme that can be applied to their application through their User Profile page.
Case IQ can provide the most recent VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) in the standard or Section 508 format report upon request. This report details the compliance of our application to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, using a format conforming to the requirements of the Industrial Training Institute’s Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (ITI VPAT®) Version 2.4.
