How can we help?

Add, Edit, or Delete a Color Theme

System Administrators can rebrand their Case IQ application on the Themes page by creating different color designs for navigation options, grids, highlights, and more. The theme functionality allows you to create multiple themes, so users can choose their preferred theme on their user profile.

You can update all themes, except themes that are marked with one of the following statuses:

  • Default: the default theme will load for a user that has not specified a theme on their user profile. There must be one default theme, so if you want to edit the design of the default theme, you must mark another theme as the default.
  • Read only: indicates a bundled theme with your application deployment. Read only themes cannot be modified or removed after they have been imported. They can also be marked as the default theme.

To manage your themes, go to Settings > System > System > Themes.

Themes page in Settings under the System tab.

Add a Theme

To add a new theme for your application:

1. Go to Settings > System > System > Themes.

Selecting Themes in the System page menu.

2. Click the Add Theme button on the Themes page.

Add Theme button on the Themes page.

3. On the New Theme form, complete the following fields:

  • Name: type in a name for the theme.
  • Description: describe what the theme looks like.
  • Default: choose to make this theme the default for your users.
  • Hidden on Portal: if you do not want reporters to use this theme, you can hide it from your application's external portal.
  • Logo: upload an image file of your organization's logo, which will be displayed in the upper right of the application. We recommend using a transparent PNG or SVG file within 250 to 300 pixels wide and 80 to 100 pixels high. The file can be a maximum of 5 MB.
  • Logo Alt Text: enter text to briefly describe the logo for those who cannot see it.
  • Favicon: upload a small image to display in the browser's tab, bookmarks, history, etc. We recommend a file within 32 by 32 pixels. The file can be a maximum of 1 MB.
  • Colors: choose the colors for each application element.
    • Primary Color: main action buttons, top bar, highlights around input buttons, and loading spinner.
    • Highlight Color: sidebar menu highlights, hover over tabs and links, and grid row highlights.
    • Standard Color: default buttons and subsection dropdown menus.
    • Secondary Navigation Color: secondary menus. These are mostly seen while on mobile.

Deleting Default Themes

Make sure that the theme is not the default before trying to delete it. If the theme is the current default, set another theme as the default before deleting the original theme.
