HR Case Types and Sub Types

The "Case Type" field is an important way to organize cases in i-Sight, as you can sort cases in the Cases Grid, create rules, and manage workflow applicability by case type. This article details some commonly used case types and their sub types. You can manually add case and sub types using the Form Builder (see full guidance in Create a New Form Type). You can also quickly add all of these case and sub types by importing the following configuration file: Custom Forms Configuration. Refer to the Configuration Export and Import article to learn how to import this configuration into your application.

Employee Misconduct

The Employee Misconduct refers to the incident(s) reported, leading to HR Investigation. This can be divided into the following case sub types:

Health and Safety

All workers are entitled to work in environments where risks to their health and safety are properly controlled. Under certain circumstances, if an employee gets injured during a workplace accident or has safety concerns, it can be recorded under the Health and Safety case type. This can be divided into the following case sub types:

  • Safety Concern (non-injury)
  • Workplace Injury
  • Workplace Accident

HR Request

This case type can be used for record keeping, request processing and visualizing the HR Request Types and trends within the organization. This can be divided into the following case sub types:

Labour Relations

Labour Relations is concerned with preventing and resolving problems involving employees which stem out of or effect of work situations. This includes complaints to state agencies, settlement agreements, unfair labour practice hearings, mediation and arbitration, conflict management, grievance and compliant administration, etc.  

Worker's Compensation

This case type is used to process a Worker's Compensation Claim as a result of a workplace accident or incident for their employees. This can be divided into the following case sub types:

  • Death Benefits
  • Medical Care
  • Permanent Disability
  • Supplemental Job Displacement
  • Temporary Disability
