To-Dos Overview
To-Dos are a date-specific child record type that can be used to set reminders or ask for assistance on a case. You can set a to-do for any executable task that needs to be completed regarding a case. To-dos have a status value of either “pending” or “closed” to keep track of what tasks are in progress or completed. Your System Administrator can also configure automatic to-do assignments as part of rules and workflows. Completing a to-do may even be required before a case can be closed (see Progress a Workflow to the Next Step).
When adding a to-do, you can enter details or instructions on the task that must be completed, choose the person responsible, and set a due date and email reminders (see Add a To-Do). The responsible user will receive an email that notifies them that they have been assigned a to-do, which they can set to "complete" upon finishing the task. If you are assigned a to-do, it will be listed on the "My Pending To-Dos" section on the Home View (see Case IQ Home View). To-dos with a due date set will also be displayed on the Calendar page (see Calendar Page).
